Advent of hatching....

I can't stand it anymore. The waiting is driving me insane.

In May this year, 78 little fluffies are coming home from the hatchery. That's somewhat exciting, I suppose.

Yes, I do have something more exciting.

In November I contacted Feathersite with some questions and information, in wake of a new breed. The Adminastrator told me if I can get true-breeding stock, that it can be recognised. That's 50% exciting.

In January, it was confirmed that, although Lazarus (2), Nelly, and Annie are different, they are so genetically similar, true breeding stock can be aquired by this spring. Type is already established. In case you still don't understand, that means that in about 4 months, I will have a new breed. That's 50% exciting. That means there is 100% excitement (yes, I did the math all by myself).

A list of the fluffies, for curiosity sake:

Blowing the dust off the Blog

Here is the first post here in 45 days... wow

The 8 mallards, and 6 bannies are safe and cozy in the barn (est. 2011), without the use of heat or light. Still laying as much as they are expected.... no freezeing to death... and people think you can't keep fowls over winter like that....
Last november, the ducks and bantams experienced there first early snowfall*
Other than that, not much has changed.

*Emily's 4th early snowfall; Sally's 3rd.
